ABOUT THE AUTHOR I. J. SINGH

I.J. Singh was born in Gujranwala (now in Pakistan), and educated
at Simla and Amritsar. He came to the United States in 1960 on a Fellowship awarded by the
Murry and Leonie Guggeheim Foundation. He was awarded the Ph.D. in Anatomy by the
University of Oregon Medical School and a D.D.S. degree by Columbia University. At
present, he is Professor of Anatomy at New York University.
I.J. Singh is a frequent contributor to The Sikh Review (Calcutta) and serves on its Editorial Advisory Board.
