400th anniversary of Sri Guru Granth Sahib on
September One
The 400th anniversary of the installation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib,
Sikh faith's holy scripture will be held on September one in
accordance with the Sikh almanac Nanakshai calendar.
Compiled by fifth Guru Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji, who
installed it in the Golden Temple in 1604, the [Sri Guru Granth
Sahib containing] divine knowledge and mysticism was ordained as
living embodiment of the Sikh faith by tenth Guru Siri Gobind Singh
Ji, the founder of the order of Khalsa in 1699, at what is now the
fifth Takht (temporal seat) of Sikhism at Hazoor Sahib (Search) in
Nanded, Maharashtra in 1708.
400th anniversary of the installation of Sri Guru
Granth Sahib Ji is being celebrated all over the world by Sikh
Gurdwaras and various other organizations.
